Dustin Portelance

I have been interested in animals since I was a kid, but it took me 10 years of other careers before making my way over to working with animals. I got into the industry because I love medicine and animals, and it just made sense. My training as a massage therapist has given me the skills of great bedside manners and compassion for the animals and their owners.

I own 4 dogs: 3 Dalmatians and a shepherd/husky mix. My interests in the vet industry are end-of-life and quality-of-life care, breeding, and rehabilitation. A fun fact about me is that I show dogs and have a champion show dog.
